Praise God that Jesus came to give us all eternal life. Good news! Fantastic News! The most valuable gift anyone could hope to receive. What’s best is that it had nothing to do with whether we had been naughty or nice. Grace is such a fantastic gift!
Wow, another Christmas already. Mel and I are down at the coast at my Mum and Dad’s place having a great time. This morning I got up at the crack and took my dog for a run on the beach. Afterward, being the dutiful husband that I am I made my wife breakfast in bed, then went back to sleep for a while.
Mum and Dad made a fantastic barbeque lunch that was delicious. As is always the case my eyes were bigger than my stomach and I left no room for dessert.
One thing I love about Christmas is how when you reach your late teens the beatitude of It’s more blessed give to than to receive actually takes on real meaning. I love the reactions you see on people faces when they realise what is under the wrapping.
It’s so good to get away from Toowoomba, and especially everything that reminds you of day-to-day live. It’s bloody humid, but there’s this nice breeze floating through the house now and it’s grand sitting here with a Corona as the gentle breeze passes me by.
Cheers!
